A joint stamp issue is when two or more postal administrations collaborate to release stamps with a common design, theme, or purpose on the same day or around the same time. ASEAN joint issues are excluded from this list and are presented on a separate page.

The first Philippine joint stamp issue was a collaboration with Mexico and Spain to commemorate the centenary of the country’s declaration of independence. Mexico's stamp depicts a galleon that once sailed the historic Manila-Acapulco trade route from 1565 to 1815, while Spain's stamp features the Basílica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebú and the Santo Niño de Cebú, the oldest Christian artifact in the Philippines. The Philippines released counterpart stamps to those of Mexico and Spain, as well as a third stamp depicting a woman holding the Philippine flag, symbolizing independence.

The stamps feature bridges, with two represented from each country. Singapore presented the Cavenagh Bridge, its only suspension bridge and among the oldest, along with the Henderson Waves, the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. The Philippines, on the other hand, featured the Bamban Bridge in Tarlac and the Marcelo Fernan Bridge in Cebu.
