The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) in collaboration with Philippine Philatelic Federation Inc. (PPFI) released a slogan canceller featuring the National Philatelic Exhibition 2025 on April 23-25, 2025.

 

Each day is commemorated with a slogan canceller with different themes: The 1 day is focused on the “Echoes of the past. Visions of the Future” through launching of its “Love the Philippines” postcard collection and opening of the National Philatelic Exhibit. The 2 day is focused on the “Beacon of hope through excellence in sports” through the launching of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games Philippine Medalists stamps and first day covers. The 3 day is focused on the “Cultural diversity, harmony, and joy through philately” by releasing the block of 4 stamps featuring Philippine Festivals. PHLPost commemorated its anniversary with the passing of Republic Act 7354, otherwise known as the Philippine Postal Service Act of 1992 paved the way for the corporatization of then Postal Service Office (PSO).

 

The Canceller is available at the 3-day event floor of Lucky Chinatown Mall Level 1 Atrium in Binondo, Manila.

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) issues special stamps and official first day covers on March 3, 2025 City of Candon, Ilocos Sur 25^th Anniversary.

 

The stamp features the historic Cry of Candon and pays tribute to Don Isabelo Abaya, along with the Candon City Hymn, created by Mrs. Minerva Dario Singson and Candanino Gaerlan. The Cry of Candon, led by Don Isabelo Abaya, was a successful uprising against the Spanish colonizers within the convent of Candon, serving as a testament to the bravery and patriotism of the people of Candon.

 

The City of Candon is known for its production of Tobacco, the city is dubbed as the “Tobacco Capital of the Philippines”. It is also known for making the biggest and heaviest Kalamay, a Filipino desert made from sticky rice, coconut milk, and sugar.

 

The City of Candon 25^th Anniversary will be available at the Philatelic Division of the Manila Central Post Office.
